with Z.K. at Prague Fashion Weekend

My special project of this autumn was shown at Prague Fashion Weekend on Saturday 15th September.  I designed and manufactured a small collection of shoes for Zuzana Kubíčková fashion designer. Inspired by pearls, shells and ancient furniture this collection employs the technique of intarsia and wood bending.

This mini collection of flight- inpired shoes I've designed specially for Lucia Ivanova's collection ' Čajka'. Showed during Brillance Fashion Talent finale on Thursday 29th September in Bratislava.

ITS#TEN, 15th-16th July, Trieste, Italy

International Talent Support ITS#TEN, Trieste, Italy 15th- 16th July 2011

I was selected as one of the finalist for ITS#TEN with my Composites collection in the Accessories category, so I went in Trieste for the great finale and award ceremony in July. Here are some moments from the location, exhibition, show and ceremony.

I also had to create a special category fashion item using YKK zippers and hardware. I made a multifunctional platform biker boots using zippers and buttons to build up a boot from a sandal.

International Talent Support ITS#TEN, Trieste, Taliansko ,15- 16 júla 2011

Ako finalistka tejto prestížnej súťaže v kategórii Accessories som sa v júli zúčastnila finále, ktoré pozostávalo z výstavy a obhajoby kolekcie pred medzinárodnou odbornou porotou (medzi inými Viktor&Rolf, Hilary Alexander, Bruno Collin, Deanna Ferretti ...), fotenia, tlačovej konferencie a stretnutia so zástupcami médií, slávnostnej ceremónie s udeľovaním cien a párty. Desiate výročie tejto súťaže bolo špeciálne tým, že som stretla aj mnohých bývalých finalistov, dnes už známych návrhárov i ďalšie osobnosti, ktoré sa za tie roky podieľali na chode súťaže.

Okrem súťažnej kolekcie som predstavila aj pár obuvi vytvorený pre špeciálnu kategóriu v tejto súťaži. Zadaním bolo použiť zipsy a komponenty YKK, jedného z hlavných sponzorov súťaže. Moje multifunkčné ‛biker boots‛ na platforme sa vďaka zipsom dajú nosiť aj ako sandále.

Diploma collection / 2010

Inspired by a definition of 'composites', this is an experimental work using composite materials such as carbon fibre for heels and shank piece or specially developed silicone reinforced fabric/ suede. Composite materials allow to define a new innovative construction replacing common reinforcements by an exclusive high- tech materials. More than a footwear collection this shows a scale of concepts and applications.
